Class Descriptions
We fully embrace accessible yoga, yet accessible doesn’t mean one-size-fits-all! You are unique and every day is different. We offer a variety of class styles so you can choose a what best supports your practice on a given day. During class, we emphasize what you are experiencing in the moment (functional yoga) instead of how you look (aesthetic yoga).

Fresh Start
Moderate physical activity is one of the keys to a healthy body and mind. Our accessible, yet dynamic Fresh Start sessions include gentle stretches, satisfying flows, and balance work. Our experienced yoga guides encourage self-exploration as you energize and enhance strength, coordination, and resilience. [Group or Private sessions]
Gentle
Everyday tasks require both functional mobility and strength. Our nurturing Gentle sessions include ground-based movements designed to enhance your range of motion, alleviate stiffness and discomfort, and support muscle mass and bone health. Unwind and recharge while bolstering your health. [Group or Private sessions]
Hatha
Hatha is a holistic practice for body, mind, and soul. Discover its transformative power as you link your movement and breath, exploring poses that improve strength, balance, and range of motion. Our functional approach helps you understand the purpose of each pose and how it feels in your unique body. [Group or Private sessions]
Mellow Flow
Mellow Flow is a gentle and calming yoga class that combines gentle stretching, breathwork, and flow. Begin with stretches to warm up your muscles, then move into gentle flowing sequences that link your movement to your breath. Slowly flowing through poses enhances strength, balance, and range of motion. Our functional approach helps you understand the purpose of each pose and how it feels in your unique body. Mindful Movement
Mindful Movement starts with a gentle practice to enhance flexibility and reduce stiffness, followed by longer-held Yin poses that promote muscle relaxation and stimulate connective tissue. The session concludes with restorative poses supported by props. [Group or Private sessions]
Private Sessions
A private session may be for you if you feel uncomfortable or self-conscious in a group class, are recovering from a specific injury or ailment, have a schedule that doesn’t mesh with a group class schedule, or just want to work with a teacher one-on-one. This page notes the styles offered privately. Chat with your preferred instructor to arrange your appointment.
Restorative
Embrace serenity, cultivate inner peace, and improve your well-being. Restorative poses are held for extended periods, fully supported by props to soothe body and mind. Deeply rooted tensions dissolve and thoughts gradually quiet down, leading to a profound sense of tranquility and inner harmony. Class may include soothing singing bowls or chimes during savasana. Strong, Mobile, & Centered
Build strength, improve functional mobility, and find calm in one balanced practice. Begin with a 15-minute warm-up, move through 30 minutes of accessible strength work—featuring steady standing shapes and supported weight-bearing postures—and close with gentle stretches. This blend of strength and mobility work is designed to support balance, stability, and healthy bones over time. You’ll leave class feeling more resilient and centered. [Group sessions]
Yin
Foster introspection, resilience, and balance in your practice and life with Yin. Yin poses are held for 3-5 minutes, allowing the mind to focus inward. Muscles slowly relax, tension dissipates, and fascia and connective tissue are stimulated. This stillness and surrender lead to a peaceful, meditative state. Thursday’s class may include soothing singing bowls during savasana. [Group or Private sessions]
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice that brings you to a state between being asleep and awake. While a full body sense calmness is a primary benefit, the practice also lowers cortisol levels, fosters mindfulness, enhances emotional resilience, and may improve concentration, memory, and creativity. Yoga Sculpt
Lively and uplifting = Yoga Sculpt, where the essence of traditional yoga blends seamlessly with strength and cardio training. Every session is designed to help you tone your body, enhance your strength, boost your heart health, support your bones, and improve your balance, all while cultivating mindfulness.
